City of Vienna

31 Aug

Hofburg Palace, Vienna, Habsburgs' winter residence

We’ve long been hearing that Vienna’s the world’s center of classical music. However we didn’t go into any theaters or opera houses, though there are many concerts aimed at tourists. We roamed around the city, mostly at the Hofburg Palace, the Hofburg museums especially the Sisi Museum since my wife was so fond of her story, and the shopping districts nearby. But we could barely stand the heat when we were there in June last year. It was very uneasy to stand under the sun and in the heat wave for more than five minutes. It would have been much nicer in April or September.

(It’s likely there won’t be any posts in the next three weeks as our next vacation is coming up. I will be busy in taking more pictures. ;-))
